Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
As many as nine people were injured after a bike-riding stuntman lost control and rammed into the audience in Asansol, West Bengal during a 'Maut ka Kuan' show. The accident took place at the Muktai Chandi fair held in Salanpur block of Paschim Bardhaman district.
A large crowd is said to have gathered at the fair on Sunday. During the 'Maut ka Kuan' show, a stuntman performed live on his bike. He was driving at high speed in a well, suddenly lost control and fell into the well while his bike rammed into the audience, causing panic. The police and fair organizers brought the situation under control.
Nine people, including a woman and two children, were injured in the accident and were taken to Asansol District Hospital for treatment. Among the nine injured, six people with minor injuries were discharged after primary treatment and three others with serious injuries were admitted to the district hospital.
A complaint has been filed at the Salanpur police station regarding this incident. The police arrested two organizers of the "Maut Ka Kuan" game. However, the police and fair organizers quickly brought the situation under control. Organizers say the situation is now normal, but many shows held during the fair have been cancelled. The police started investigating the whole matter.
